Attract Positive Energy
In many cultures and religions, the color red symbolizes luck and is believed to ward away evil. Throughout history, people have painted their front doors red to prevent evil from entering the house, and ancient warriors often painted their bodies and weapons red for protection. In many cases, the use of red string, or wool, is also symbolic, and is thought to help eliminate unwanted energies and make way for new energies in a person’s life.
According to Japanese legend, a thread connects the hearts of people through their little fingers. An invisible red string flows from the heart, down the ulnar artery and out through the little finger – and then connects with another person’s little finger and ultimately their heart. People bound in this way are considered destined to meet and interact at some point in their lives.
The Chinese consider that the color red symbolizes good fortune and joy, and you can see red everywhere at New Year and other special occasions.
Hindus believe that red is a symbol of purity, and the color of bravery and generosity. It is given in temples during ceremonies.
Buddhists believe the color red is a symbol of life force and compassion.
You will see Kabbalah bracelets worn in many parts of the world. Kabbalah bracelets are worn on the left wrist and may be adorned with amulets or charms that may be designed specifically for the wearer.
Although a red string bracelet may be worn on either wrist, it is believed in many cultures that energy channels from the left side into the body and leaves from the right side – so wearing the bracelet on the left helps to draw positive energy into the body.
